Why parents choose the Seat Float

The difference, in one screen.

A supported seat under its own canopy, with solid foam inside.

Supported seat

A breathable crotch panel, armpit pads and a padded backrest hold baby upright rather than letting them slip down.

Adjustable seat depth

The seat zips to sit baby higher or lower: 28 cm zipped, 32 cm unzipped.

Removable canopy

Up for sun, folded away or off entirely for an indoor pool.

Air-free foam core

Pearl foam inside a waterproof outer. No pump, no valve.

Air-free vs inflatable

Why an air-free seat float?

What changes once baby is actually sitting in it.

Inflatable seat ring

  • Needs inflating
  • An air valve and seams
  • Fixed seat depth
  • Lower upfront price

Mambobaby Seat Float

  • Solid foam core, no air inside
  • Ready to use: no pump, no valve
  • Adjustable seat depth
  • Armpit pads and padded backrest
  • Removable, foldable canopy
You're not paying for more air. You're choosing a supported, ready-to-use seat.

"Basic inflatable" describes low-cost inflatable products in general, not a specific brand. Both are swimming aids, not life-saving devices.

User guide

Settling baby into the seat float.

  1. 1
    Check they are ready

A seated float needs steady, independent head and upper-body control. If your baby still needs support to sit, wait.

  2. 2
    Set the seat shallow first

Start with the seat zipped at 28 cm so baby sits higher in the water. Unzip to 32 cm as they get steadier.

  3. 3
    Lower baby in, legs through

One leg at a time through the openings, arms resting on the armpit pads, back against the pillow.

  4. 4
    Check the crotch panel

It should be flat and comfortable underneath, not twisted. This is the part that stops baby sliding down.

  5. 5
Canopy up, and stay in reach

Ten minutes to start. Keep one hand's distance the whole time.

Fit

Is my baby ready?

Go by head control, not age.

Suits: 4–18 months, up to 18 kg. Your baby needs steady, independent head and upper-body control before using a seated float. Set the seat shallow to begin with and deepen it as they get steadier.

FAQ

Answers to the final questions.

How is this different from the chest float?

Baby sits upright through a seat rather than lying on their front. It suits babies with steady head and trunk control, from around four months.

What does the zip do?

It changes how deep the seat sits, so baby can be higher in the water at first and lower as they get more confident.

Does it need inflating?

No. Solid foam throughout.

Can the canopy come off?

Yes. It is removable and foldable: up for sun, away for an indoor pool.

How does delivery work?

Shipping is free and tracked Australia-wide. Your tracking number is emailed as soon as your order ships.

What if it isn't right for us?

Contact us within 14 days of receiving it to start a return. Change-of-mind returns need the item back in original condition and packaging; return postage is paid by you. Faulty items are covered by your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

What does the 2-year warranty cover?

Defects in material or workmanship for 2 years from purchase. We repair or replace the product. Damage from misuse is not covered. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. This warranty is in addition to those rights.

Important water-use information This product is a swimming aid, not a life-saving device. It does not protect against drowning. Follow the supplied instructions and keep constant, close adult supervision within arm's reach. Never leave a child unattended in or near water, even for a moment. Check every buckle and fastening before each use. Use only within 4–18 months and up to 18 kg, and only once your baby has steady, independent head and upper-body control. Not for open water, surf or moving water.
